The fish learn to touch a target stick.

 

Behavior #2: Target

GOAL: Fish will follow a target stick.

PURPOSE: Many behaviors will eventually be possible using the target stick as a lure.

METHOD: 1) Hold the target stick in feeding corrals and c/t when fish come to it. 2) Pull target stick through the water and c/t when fish follow it.

Criteria (what fish must do for reward):

1Louie: a) Swim up to stationary target stick and stop within an inch of it. Progress to... b) Follow the target stick for at least 6 inches.

2.  Ricky: a) Swim up to target stick and touch it with mouth or stop within 1/2 inch of it. Progress to... b) Follow the target stick for at least 6 inches.
